WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST & CREW

A Touch of Danger

A Touch of Danger

STAN AMDITIS (Graham Digby) is excited to be working, once again, with Joe and the Studio Players. Last year about this same time, Stan appeared as Parivicini in the Studio Players production of Mousetrap. This past summer, Stan also played the role of Max the butler in the St. Catherine's production of The Sound of Music. In each of these, his first roles on stage, Stan was required to produce three very different accents and is looking forward to someday using his own voice on stage...if he can ever remember what that was.

RAINE BROWN (Liz Ferber) has spent over a decade training and performing at various prestigious acting schools and acting companies in NJ and NY. She is a classically trained actor who has played many of Shakespeare's heroines such as Juliet, Ophelia, Lady MacBeth, Hermia, Beatrice, Katharina, Phoebe, and Rosalind at the Hudson Shakespeare Co., and Montclair State. Raine made her Studio debut as Suzanne in Don't Dress for Dinner. Further, she has performed modern pieces such as Laura in The Glass Menagerie at the Nutley Little Theatre. Most recently, Raine has been pursuing her film career and has been cast in numerous independent and student films. As luck would have it, she is making a go at usurping the "scream queen" title from Jamie Lee-Curtis by consistently being cast in horror movies such as Horror, Satan's Playground, and A Nightmare at Shallow Point. You may have most recently caught a quick glimpse of Raine when she was featured on TV in both Sex and the City and Strangers with Candy.

MARIE CALIENDO (Harriet Telligan) Marie's most recent theater credits include voicing the role of Ellie Andrews in It Happened One Night which was broadcast over WFDU-FM: Elizabeth Proctor in an Arthur Miller workshop of The Crucible; the dual role of Bobbi/Gabbi in A City of Angels and Anne Collier in A 1940's Radio Hour with the Bergen County Players at the Little Firehouse Theater. Marie is a voice over professional whose TV and radio clients include Neutrogena, BMW, Millstone Coffee, DaSani Water and McDonald's.

JOE De SPIRITO (Director) This is the fourth show Joe has directed at Studio, and seventh overall, having directed last season's The Mousetrap. While Joe has enjoyed directing A Touch of Danger, largely because of the talented cast he has been blessed with, he admits that he would rather be onstage than behind the scenes. Favorite roles include George in Same Time, Next Year, Guido Contini in Nine, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, and Roy Cohn in Angels in America. He can be seen through April 1st in yet another production of Same Time, Next Year with Perennial Productions' Luncheon Theatre at the Wayne Manor.

TERRY HOLUSHA (Stage Manager/Nigel) A veteran performer, Terry has been in over a dozen shows at the Studio Playhouse. His favorite rolls include Christopher Wren in The Mousetrap, Stanley in Brighton Beach Memoirs and the Chef in Don't Drink the Water. Terry has also stage managed several shows here at the Studio Playhouse, including The Adventure of Treasure Island, Pinocchio, and Cheaper By The Dozen.

NORM KELLER (Max Telligan) has acted in many Studio productions like Saturday Night, Arsenic and Old Lace, Forum (Pseudolus), Company, Li'l Abner (Marryin' Sam), Noises Off, and Around the Horn. Norm has directed Chapter Two, Sunshine Boys, and I Love My Wife. I'm glad to be back on the boards after a 2 year hiatus.

STEPHANIE KIRBY (Light & Sound Technician) Stephanie is thrilled to be working on lights for the first time. She has recently been seen in A Christmas Carol, Anything Goes, The Wizard of Oz and will be in the upcoming Studio Playhouse production of The Fantasticks. She just completed stage managing the Junior Production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

DAN LUGO (Lloyd Mitchell)is thrilled to be on the Studio stage again. Dan was last seen at Studio as George in this winter's presentation of Don't Dress for Dinner. Dan also played the role of Tranio at Studio in Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Some of Dan's other recent roles have included the Professor in Messiah Game at the 12 Miles West Theatre and Mr. X in Steve DeVries Goes to Fundamentalists Islam Heaven at the Sanford Meisner Theater in New York.

BETH LYNDSEY (Connie Parker) is thrilled to be making her Studio Players debut, and would like to thank Joe DeSpirito, for the opportunity. Beth just completed a run at The Antrim Playhouse in Suffern, NY as Sarah Goldman in Beau Jest. Other regional roles include Suzette in Don't Dress for Dinner, Beth Hollander in California Suite, Susan Johnson in The Heidi Chronicles, Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank, and Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. Beth studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York; Tepper Gallagos in Los Angeles; and is a graduate of Boston University's College of Communication with a degree in Broadcasting and Film.

CHRIS MAYER (Jeff Seago) is happy to be back on the Studio stage once again. He was previously seen as Ray in Saturday Night, and Lucentio in The Taming of the Shrew.

GEORGE H. MORGAN (Vincent Crane) last appeared at Studio Players as the Sultan in Aladdin earlier this season. George has been active at Studio and other community theaters in the area since retiring from a real job, as well as acting in the standardized patient programs at UMDNJ and Kaplan Medical. If you look really close (and fast), you may spot him in some films and TV programs—Catch Me If You Can and Ed among others—where he has been an extra.
