“There was a Cabaret and there was a Master-of-Ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany. It was the end of the world...” Cabaret chronicles the intersecting lives of an American expatriate writer and a second rate night club singer in late 1932. This dark, sexually-charged, and cynical rethinking of the 1966 Broadway musical which just closed in New York after a 5 year run, contains some of the best musical numbers written for the theatre in the past 50 years.
